A place to keep the things that bother me

This is a journal of small annoyances. Not big injustices, not real problems — the tiny, specific, unfixable things. Open-mouth chewing. Autoplay video. The reply-all that wasn't for me. The stuff that's too petty to say out loud and too persistent to ignore.

I write them down so I don't have to carry them around. Naming a peeve, precisely, takes some of the sting out of it. By the time it's a paragraph, it's usually a little funny. That's the whole method.

There's one rule: no solutions. This is not a self-improvement blog and it is definitely not advice. It is a ledger. Each entry is logged, given a rage rating out of ten, and filed. Some weeks are worse than others.

If you recognize yourself in any of these — as the sufferer or, worse, as the cause — you're in good company.
